Dr. Dre has finally settled his divorce with ex-wife Nicole Young after an 18 month-long back and forth.
Nicole Young, now the ex-wife of Dr. Dre reportedly filed for divorce in 2020 in which she stated was due to irreconcilable differences.
Dr.Dre Accused Of Violence In Marriage
In addition, Young claims that Dr.Dre held her at gunpoint on two occasions and suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome after the incident.
She also added that Dr.Dre kicked down a door while she hid from his rage in the year 2016.
Counter to this statement, Dr.Dre vehemently denied the claims his ex-wife made, telling the court, “at no time did I ever abuse Nicole or threaten her physical safety.”
Nicole Young To Receive $100 Million In Settlement
Under the terms of the settlement, Young will receive $50 million immediately and the other $50 million within a year’s time.
According to Rolling Stone, the music mogul is reportedly ‘delighted’ that his ex-wife is leaving the marriage with a portion of his assets. A source claims she would have gotten more had she settled sooner.
In terms of the couple’s union, they would be married for 24 years. They share two adult children named Truice and Truly, aged 24 and 20 respectively.
According to NBC News, with the divorce settled, Young leaves the 24 year-long marriage with all the jewelry as well as four vehicles which includes a Range Rover, a Rolls Royce, an Escalade Limousine, and a Spyder Motorcycle.

Young, 51, is required to move out of the former couple’s Malibu home.
Before marrying her now ex-husband, Nicole was known as the wife of retired NBA player Sedale Threatt. The pair were married for two years.
After her divorce from Sedale, she became better known as the wife of Dr.Dre.
Nicole Young worked as a lawyer before meeting Dr.Dre.
