Five men posting as Police officers attempted to hijack a Chinese couple outside a Nursery school. There was shots fired but nobody was hurt thankfully. Some of the parents stepped in the help the lady as they thought she was being assaulted by police officers. To their surprise they almost ended up being shot in the process and had to run for their lives.
The incident happened at the corner of Rubenstein and Helois roads in Moreleta Park, Pretoria.
The hijackers pulled over the couple in a white 1 Series BMW with a blue light on and they were dressed in police uniforms.
An abandoned vehicle, police vests and jackets, a blue light and two R5 rifles was later found in Tembisa. Police believe it was used in the hijacking attempt, The Citizen reported.
Any person in their right mind would stop for a police vehicle after all how would you know they are not the real police. Our question as always is, what is the government doing to battle crime in South Africa? Where will all this end?
