Klawer man has been arrested in the killing of a little boy that went missing on Friday. He was last seen with his friends when they stole mangoes from the man’s property. The man then went after the boys who stole his mangoes.

Thus far, police have found the remains of someone in his sewage pipes. They are not certain at this point of who the remains belong to and the investigation is still ongoing.
Currently, an activist urged the public to not make this or turn this into a political matter.
As of this morning, the arrested and accused Mr. Smit has appeared in court since his arrest on Friday. His lawyer has asked that he be held in a single cell away from other inmates.

Now, many angry residents have gathered at court this morning regarding the matter. Police have had to control the out-of-control crowd.

Earlier today, it was revealed that Mr. Smit has denied an application for bail and will be held in jail until his trial is set to take place on April 26.
So, his arrest was first aligned with the likes of kidnapping but was later changed to murder. According to News24, Daniel Smit faces a number of charges, including defeating the ends of justice, murder, and kidnapping.
Presently, the remains of the body are believed to be that of Jerobiojin van Wyk.
The investigation is still ongoing.
