Last chance to register for Local Government Elections!

At last South Africa’s cities are turning their backs on the ANC ready to vote for change and prosperity (read Democratic Alliance).

New election poll data from eNCA and Ipsos shows that the recent riots in Tshwane have had a significant impact on people’s prospective voting direction – massively in favour of the DA.

The polls surveyed a demographically representative group of people made up of adults across all racial groups (majority black – 74%) between the ages of 18 and over 50, from low to middle income households.

BusinessTech.co.zs reports that in the first week poll, the results showed that the DA would win two of the three most hotly-contested metros – Nelson Mandela Bay and Tshwane, with Johannesburg still under the control of the ANC.

However, the DA victories in each province were marginal, with many respondents still uncertain of their voting decision.

In the week 3 poll – which took place amid riots in Tshwane, where ANC members were expressing their unhappiness with the ANC’s election candidate list, the poll results shows a drop in undecided voters, and a large upswing in DA votes across all three metros.

Now – in week four – the polls show a DA victory in all three cities, with the widest gap between the DA and the ANC seen in Tshwane.

The latest poll results show:

Tshwane

DA: 42%

ANC: 23%

EFF: 11%

Undecided: 15%

Johannesburg

DA: 33%

ANC: 30%

EFF: 11%

Undecided: 16%

Nelson Mandela Bay

DA: 39%

ANC: 27%

EFF: 7%

Undecided: 15%

Cape Town, which is already prospering under a DA controlled government is showing SA the way and the rest of the country is starting to notice. This site has said many times before that freedom movements, no matter how noble and how much we supported them, cannot govern. History has proved this over and over. Time for change.
