That seems to be how the Western Cape ANC thinks they will give the DA controlled province a run for their money after nine people were arrested for dumping human waste in the departure terminal at Cape Town International Airport. They will all appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court after being charged under the National Key Points Act as the airport was a key point.
At least two of the arrested had already been identified as ANC members. One of the men told the Cape Times newspaper they had took their protest to the airport to send a message to the United Nations (UN).
“We wanted them to know that our people have been living with uncleaned toilets that are filled up for three months,” he said.
“We want the UN and these so-called environmentalists to know that the city does not care about the health of black people.”
Pretending to be passengers, the group carried plastic bags containing human waste to the domestic and international departures terminal.
They tried to escape in a car, but they were caught by the police.
