Save the Rhinos by Poisoning Horns

What is the poison?

It is a medical mixture normally used to kill parasites on the Rhinos but they discovered it makes the horns toxic to humans.

What are the side effects when a poisoned horns are consumed by a human?

Convulsions and severe headaches and in severe cases death.

Why is there a demand for Rhino horns?

It is used mainly in Asia as an aphrodisiac and also for home remedy medicines. The stupid people don’t know that it is made up of Keratin so chewing your own finger nails has the same nutritional properties.

Won’t the poachers kill the Rhinos anyway?

They will kill a Rhino with or without a poisoned horn so by poisoning it we can ensure it’s not fit for human consumption.

What positive effects will the poison have?

What poisoning will do is make it unfit for human consumption and then… return deter people from buying it and then… decrease demand significantly. Poison ensures poachers cannot sell the horns as people cannot consume it, reduce demand and you reduce supply. It also contains a dye that makes it glow neon pink in solid and ground form so that customs can detect it but as a bonus buyers can also check to see if it is poisoned.
