SA talent Jordy Smith from Durban and Rosanne Hodges from East London are hot, young and upcoming surfers who are sitting in very favourable positions in the ASP ratings and leading the pack of SA surfers. Both Jordy and Rosanne are ranked 10th in the WCT for men and women respectively.
WCT – World Championship Tour is the highest level of world championship surfing where all competitors have to attain a high seed ranking during the previous season to be included.
WQS – World Qualifying Series is a feeder system for the WCT where the top ranked surfers qualify for WCT.
