After just ten minutes, the team player scored the first shot from outside the box. Not too long after, Chile snapped back trying to own their space. Well, it didn’t take Argentina too long to show them who’s boss when a second goal was scored in a matter of a few minutes before halftime.
Now, this will be such a memorable moment for Argentina is. The team is now one step closer to qualifying for the Qatar World Cup this year. Their captain, Lionel Messi would certainly be so proud of the team’s achievement without him.

Qualifying for the 2022 Qatar World Cup
According to ESPN, The result was a huge blow to Chile’s hopes of qualifying for Qatar. They are seventh, on 16 points, in the 10-team South American qualifying group with only three matches to play.
This match is considered a very important one as this would determine whether either team would be participating in the World Cup in Qatar. Without a doubt, this must be very disappointing for Chile as they fought with all their might in their match on Thursday. Well, by now Argentina had already secured their spot in the 2022 World Cup. The ball was in Chile’s court at this point.
Now, this loss may be a bittersweet moment but Chile is still a winner considering how far they have come.
