Britain’s weather service raised heat-wave alerts in more parts of the country, with high temperatures forecast to continue into the coming week. The Met Office says Britain is experiencing its first prolonged heatwave since 2006. Temperatures have been above 30 degrees for six consecutive days.
Because the Pommies are not really adapted to heat, a “level three” heatwave warning is in place across the south of England and the Midlands. The elderly and very young were warned to take special care.
Authorities have also warned people against swimming in lakes and rivers after four people drowned in separate incidents on Tuesday. Two servicemen died in Wales at the weekend. They were carrying out a military training exercise in 29 degrees heat.
While this is a time for beer and braai, SA Promo dislikes the amount of white naked flesh being flashed around all over the country. If you are a Pommie and a part of your body has not seen sun for more than a year and that part of your body is ten times larger than it should be, please hide it from the rest of society. Jig man!
