The Hard Rock Hotel is the official team hotel – they have put different countries in different bars on their property (Hell’s Belles Bar is for Saffas).
Sevens rugby is the largest annual rugby event held in North America and the fastest growing rugby event in the world at this time. The USA Sevens has been taking place since 2004, but this is the tournament’s first year in Las Vegas. 2004-2006 were held at Home Depot Center in Carson, California, 2007-2009 were held at Petco Park in San Diego, California and now the 2010 USA Sevens tournament will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rugby Sevens was recently named an Olympic sport, to commence with the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The IRB Sevens World Series kicked off in early December 2009 in Dubai before moving onto George in SA later that month. The latest round took place in early February in Wellington, New Zealand and next weekend is the US round. Following that is Australia and Hong Kong in March before wrapping up in England and Scotland in May.

Official event hotels
The 2010 Tournament has Official Event Hotels in Las Vegas, offering special discounted room rates only available for spectators of the USA Sevens. Additionally, for USA Sevens spectators, there will be a shuttle running between the official hotels and the stadium on event days.
