WCED has given parents ample time to register their children into new schools. Whether it be grade 8 or grade 1, parents will have time to get all the required documents without pressure.
WCED opens online applications
While there have been many changes in the online world, one of its conveniences has also made the lives of parents easier as they do not have to run from school to school.
Just last year, the WCED had received over 70 000 late applications for 2022 and are currently still being processed according to IOL.
Currently, the WCED is urging parents to not delay and start registering their children as soon as possible. This is to prevent children from not being placed in a school.
Registering quickly and conveniently
With the applications to be done online, parents can conveniently apply or register their children. Some might find the online process is a bit too difficult to handle. But, there are some spots that are able to assist individuals with their applications.
To find your nearest pop-up spots for registration, you can check this directly on the WCED website.
Since applications are available online, parents should keep in mind that their children should at least have been applied to three schools.

The WCED has also noted that they have received 8000 applications thus far. As a result, have experienced a large amount of traffic to the site which caused the system to slow down.
They have expressed that should this happen at any time, the users on the site should just refresh their page.
