IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

1. Yellow Level 2 Warning for WIND resulting in localized problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes is expected over the southern interior of the Northern Cape and interior of the Western Cape on Thursday morning spreading to the south coast by the afternoon (08/07/2021).
2. Yellow Level 2 Warning for WIND resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas on Thursday morning spreading to Plettenberg Bay by the afternoon (08/07/2021).

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning fog patches on the Highveld, otherwise fine and cool to cold but warm in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Morning fog patches over the central parts, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and cool but partly cloudy in the north-east where fog patches are expected at first. It will be cold along the Lesotho border.

Northern Cape:

East temperature: Fine and cool with frost in the morning over the southern parts where it will be cold.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly moderating in the north by the evening.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Morning frost over the interior, otherwise fine and cool but cold in the south-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly to south-easterly but fresh along the south coast in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Temperature: Fine and cool.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light south-westerly, becoming moderate easterly in the afternoon.
