Severe Weather Alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
- Yellow level 2 warning for WIND resulting in localized problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes is expected over the Northern Cape and interior of the Western Cape from the morning, spreading to the south coast of the Western Cape by the afternoon.
- Yellow level 2 for WIND resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas from the morning, spreading to Plettenberg Bay in the afternoon.
- Yellow level 2 warning for RAIN leading to localized flooding can be expected in the City of Cape Town, Drakenstein, Stellenbosch and Theewaterskloof municipalities of the Western Cape.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
- Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Eastern Cape, the eastern parts of the Western Cape, the central and eastern Northern Cape as well as the south western Free State.

Temperature: Fine and cool to cold, but warm in the eastern Lowveld.

Temperature: Fine and cool, but warm in places in the Lowveld.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine and cool.
Free State:
Temperature: Fine and cool.
Northern Cape:
East temperature: Fine, windy and cold to cool, but warm in the north west.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, becoming light to moderate northerly to north-westerly in the evening.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy and cold over the west and southwestern parts, but fine and cool over the east and southeastern parts. It will be windy with
showers over the west and southwestern parts from late afternoon, spreading northwards and eastwards during the evening. Light snowfalls can be be expected over the southwestern mountain peaks from late evening.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong northwesterly reaching gale force between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas, becoming westerly to southwesterly and spreading to Plettenberg by evening.

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cool in places in the north, otherwise fine and warm. it will be cloudy with isolated showers and rain in the south west from the evening.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh north westerly, becoming south westerly in the afternoon, but Strong to near gale from the evening.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Cool in places in the north, otherwise fine and warm.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly, becoming fresh northeasterly from the afternoon, but south westerly from the evening.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Fine and cool but warm in places in the north-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh north-easterly.
