Severe Weather Alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
- Yellow level 2 warning for winds leading to possible localised infrastructure damage and power interruptions is expected over the southern parts of Namakwa of the Northern Cape, the Central and Little Karoo and the Cape Winelands of the Western Cape as well as the western interior of the Eastern Cape.
- Yellow level 2 warning for winds resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas of the Western Cape spreading to Still Bay in the afternoon.
- Yellow Level 2 warning for waves leading to possible coastal infrastructure damage is expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas of the Western Cape from the afternoon.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
- Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and south-eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the Central and Little Karoo of the Western Cape and the western parts of the Eastern Cape.

Temperature: Fine and cool.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Warm in the north, otherwise fine and cool, but windy in the afternoon. It will be cloudy along the coast with morning fog.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly to northerly but strong at times
Western Cape:
Temperature: Fine over the eastern parts in the morning, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm with rain in the western and the south-western parts. It will be windy over the eastern interior.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong westerly to north-westerly, reaching gale force between Cape Columbine and Still Bay until in the afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Fine, windy and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly, becoming fresh south-westerly in the afternoon.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Fine and cool, but warm in places south-west.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly , becoming south-westerly in the evening.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Fine and cool but warm in the north-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-easterly.
