IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
- Yellow Level 2 Warning for wind leading to possible localized infrastructure damage, localized power and
connection interruptions with some transport routes and travel services affected due to fallen trees and blowing
dust. It is expected over the central and western parts of Western Cape as well as north-western parts of Eastern
Cape and the extreme southern parts of Northern Cape. - Yellow Level 2 Warning for wind leading to difficulty in navigation at sea is expected offshore between Lambert’s Bay and Cape Agulhas from Friday late morning spreading to Plettenberg Bay by the evening, moderating in the west on Saturday.
- Yellow Level 2 Warning for waves leading to possible coastal infrastructure damage is expected between Lambert’s Bay and Cape Agulhas from Friday afternoon spreading to Plettenberg Bay by the evening, subsiding on Saturday evening.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
- Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected for the eastern parts of Northern Cape, central Karoo and places
in the north-western parts of Eastern Cape.

Northern Cape:
Temperature: Morning mist along the coast otherwise fine and cool, but cold in the south.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Fine and cool becoming partly cloudy to cloudy over the south-western parts with prefrontal drizzle late morning and light to moderate rain by the afternoon spreading into the western interior.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly becoming strong to gale south of Cape Columbine spreading to Cape Agulhas by the afternoon spreading along the south coast during the evening.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise fine and cool, but windy in places. It will become partly cloudy in
the afternoon.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh south westerly from the afternoon.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Morning fog patches expected in places south of the escarpment, otherwise fine and cool. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable early morning, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming south-westerly from the south at night.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Morning fog over the interior and partly cloudy in the south at first, otherwise fine and cool but warm in the north east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly becoming south-westerly south of Richards Bay at times.
