Police confirmed the incident happened in the parking area of the local Checkers store in Da Gama Road. Warrant officer Gerda Swart says in a police statement three men approached the women in her early 20s demanding money at around 2pm. As she was looking in her handbag they overpowered her, hit her over the head and forced her into a white VW Polo. They rode off at speed but stopped in the nearby Kabeljous resort to allow her to get out of the car.
