Can you imagine a time without Google? Neither can we. The multi-functional search engine is celebrating 15 years of Google Trends and has released a list of the most popular topics in South Africa in that time period.
The most-searched topics include some interesting bits and bobs, but it reaffirms that sport, politics and jobs are at the top of our search history as a nation.
The list also included most searched public figures, health topics, entertainment and of course, food. The search engine is so efficient at it’s job, it can process more than 40 000 queries every second which equates to more than a billion searches in one day – and 1.2 trillion searches per annum globally.
South African’s also search their favourite public figures and looked for food, entertainment and health information.
