These (above) were ANC politicians behaving like hooligans not too long ago \u2013 in parliament. They ripped up the DA's proposed 2014\/2015 budget to pieces, threw it on the ground, formed a circle around the heap of papers and toy-toyed, jumping up and down and screaming like barbarians, interrupting procedures and disrupting debate. No action was taken against any of these politicians, not by the chair nor by the party, and none were suspended, nor threatened with suspension. Whilst we cannot agree with the actions these days in parliament of the Economic Freedom Fighters, we also need to ensure that rules are being applied fairly and justly. All public representatives should be judged and disciplined equally and evenly. The selective application of the rules is not prosecution, but persecution. The EFF is simply behaving exactly how their ANC masters taught them, while they were still eating from the same pot. Yet the EFF members are labelled by the speaker and the ANC as undisciplined ruffians who don't respect the dignity of parliament and the constitution, and strong actions are launched against them. When the ANC did this, it was called vigorous politics, when the EFF does it, it is called barbaric hooliganism and an attack on the dignity of parliament and the principals of our constitutional democracy.
