Imagine plummeting 100km p/h with a 4G-force from one of the tallest buildings in Cape Town – are you brave enough to try the Sky Hi Ride?
The Sky Hi Ride, which is one of only three in the world, and the only one in all of Africa, opened at the top of the new Sky Hotel in the Cape Town City Bowl area over the weekend.
The ride is perched on the 28 floor of the Sky Hotel with magnificent sweeping views of the city, Table Mountain and the harbour.
The ride, which only lasts a few seconds, plunges down from 35 metres above the 28 floors of the building. You are guaranteed exhilaration, excitement and your stomach to feel like it’s left your body for those few moments until the ride ends.
The ride is weather dependent and is limited to only 10 riders at a time. You can choose between a day view or a night view, both are equally breathtaking. Sky-Hi Ride is open from 9am to 9pm daily to visitors and hotel guests, everyone is welcome.
You can purchase footage of your gravity-defying experience after your ride and bookings are essential. The cost is usually R250 per person but Sky Hotel have a special introductory price of R125 pp right now.
You can book tickets at Webtickets.
