Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has launched a new option for locals and tourists to experience the glorious ride up Table Mountain – via a private cable car.
It doesn’t get more socially distanced than this. The new offering is a VIP experience – you get to skip the queues and be escorted to your very own cable car while you take in a 360 degree splendour of the city, mountains and sea as you whizz up.

You can only book the private car ride from Monday to Friday within their normal operating hours. It is an ideal gift for family and friends, couples or even a marriage proposal.
“Our commitment has and will always be to ensure memorable moments at the Cableway, which is why we’re proud to include this as part of our offering,” says Giselle Esau, Cableway executive manager of brand and marketing.
Table Mountain is Cape Town’s very own icon and is admired globally as one of the natural wonders of the world.
South Africans also get to enjoy a free trip up and down the mountain via the cable car on their birthday, which is always a special time to celebrate.
