Eating around the world.

Tu Chicas
A Mexican Cantina restaurant with a South African flair, only a short walk from Wimbledon Park station. The décor is Mexican at first glance, and then amidst the sombreros and cactuses, you spot the familiar site of proteas, Table Mountain and the SA flag! You can also drink Savanna and other SA specialities. But the food is Mexican through and through, from tasty tacos and nachos to mains of meat and seafood as well as enchiladas and fajitas!

It is a great place to celebrate a birthday or group event as the owners are delightful in ensuring you have a fabulous and fun night! Oh, and did I mention the frozen marguerites? They compliment the spicy Mexican food perfectly! Plus they have a special deal for nearly every day of the week so do check the website!

JABULA
Jabula restaurant and coffee shop has been serving a combination of South African cuisine, home cooking and traditional meals since 2003. With a fully South African staff, you can order in Afrikaans every time if you wish! From the ‘Africa 2 u’ menu, choose from bobotie, potjie, curry and game, or have kingklip or an amazing steak in a special Jabula marinade as well as staples such as duck and chicken! They are also open for lunch when you can have vetkoek, bunny chows, pap and wors, boerewors rolls or homemade burgers and sandwiches.

Every Friday night there is live drumming entertainment and if it’s your birthday, this is definitely the place to be as there is not only singing and dancing, but you get set a challenge! If you fail the challenge, a bush tucker trial awaits you! Jabula even caters for weddings as well as other private functions for which they offer platter options to ensure guests get to taste a bit of everything African!

REHAB
Bringing you contemporary Italian in the heart of Colliers Wood, this gem of a restaurant could easily be overlooked from the outside, but it’s a buzz of chatter on the inside. On entering, you feel like you’ve walked into someone’s home with big leather couches and intriguing art on the walls. You then step into the main restaurant which feels open and full of light due to the skylights in the ceiling and the classic modern décor and a lovely sized, well stocked bar for a pre- or post meal drink.

An Italian restaurant is all about thin crust pizza and good pasta – both of which Rehab does with Italian finesse. For those more inclined towards meat, you can have the lamb chops or the finest Argentine beef! The atmosphere, service and food will make you wonder why you have not discovered it earlier! And adding a splash of Spain to their otherwise Italian style, there is salsa every Sunday.

DELHI BRASSERIE
Operating since 1985, Delhi Brasserie serves classic Indian cuisine, from mild to hot curry dishes made from special homemade sauces. The lamb korhai is one of their most acclaimed dishes, made with green peppers, spring onions and methi-leaves.

Delhi Brasserie has a main dining section as well as rear dining tables for a quieter experience, plus a private lounge downstairs! For awesome Indian in the heart of Soho, it is perfect for a pre-theatre meal. Or if you’re having a wander around the museums of South Kensington, they have a restaurant there as well.
