You can find Co.fi at the eastern entrance of the Kolonnade shopping centre. The modern decor induces a relaxing ambience and the beautiful bar seats a surprising amount of customers.
Our wine selection was Buiten Blanc from Buitenverwachting vineyards in the Cape. The ice did a good job cooling the delectably flavoured wine and ensured we were in just the right mood to continue with our meal.
To start I chose Trichado, Portuguese style beef fillet strips prepared in a mild peri-peri sauce, with Italian bread. My wife decided on the avocado shrimp cocktail. When our friendly waiter offered our beautifully presented plates I just wanted more! Having suffered through many a limp and tasteless version, Co.fi’s Italian Caprese salad was also a pleasant surprise. It was delightfully fresh and delicious.
For the main course my wife chose an oven-baked fillet, layered with mozzarella and feta cheeses. I selected the grilled kingklip, lightly drizzled with a lemon butter sauce. My wife was in heaven, and being a fish lover I very much enjoyed my dish as well. The food was delicious!
My wife also has a passion for crème brûlée and Co.fi’s did look exceptionally inviting. She was unable to resist the temptation and ordered dessert. She was not disappointed as it was scrumptious. I treated myself to the ice cream, having been a life-long ice cream fan, and it was well worth it.
Try it! You won’t be disappointed
