Carl says, “I scoured the globe for decades to find the finest tastes and greatest dishes. Now I’ve blended classic Italian with everything from South African pizza favourites to Greek salad”.
The menu offers a great variety of dishes to suit any taste buds. Even a simple bread and olives starter is nothing near boring, including four different types of bread and black and green olives arranged in a funky display. There is a large selection of pasta dishes, mouth wateringly unusual salads as well as risottos and soups. Their spaghetti bolognese is just as the menu promises: the best around! Another bonus is that they offer a selection of their pastas in child size portions for small tummies.
Their pizzas are definitely something to write home about. I had the Cape Special (avocado, bacon, feta and spinach) which reminded me so much of the delicious pizzas from South Africa, lathered with wonderful combinations of fresh ingredients. No scarcely sprinkled toppings which I’ve found to be characteristic of most pizzas in London. Those pining for pizza like we get back home will be able to satisfy their craving! You can even have a boerewors pizza.
Say Pasta has a simple modern décor with a vibrant fresh feel. Large windows surround it, offering lovely views of the quaint Wimbledon Village High street. Overall Say Pasta has a relaxed vibe, making it the perfect setting in which to enjoy one of their scrumptious dishes. With such good food at such reasonable prices who could resist?
