It is alleged that Mervyn Dirks was considering Majodina’s request but deliberately went against her wishes. Mervyn expected president Cyril Ramaphosa to speak on what he knows about misused funds.
Majodina instructed Mervyn to withdraw his letter by Tuesday. Now, it is evident that Mervyn Dirks did not follow direct orders by superiors. He has subsequently faced the consequences thereof.
As reported by Sowetan Live, Dirks told Majodina the instruction to withdraw the letter “should not be based on factional considerations but instead, be based on governance”.
Dirks has previously been in trouble for calling MP’s dogs in a social media post. This is a developing story.
