Dj Citi Lytes was very popular in the music industry and it is with great sorrow that his death is reported today. According to previous reports, Sandile and his friends were on the road when they were suddenly shot at.
Dj Citi Lytes fatally shot in ambush
At exactly 2:30 am on the 14th of February Dj Citi Lytes was ambushed by three armed men. Two of these men fired shots at Sandile and this fatally wounded him. Paramedics have pronounced him dead at the scene.
Presently, the family of Dj Citi Lytes asks for privacy while they come to terms with his death. The Dj had previously lost his brother in 2018 and dedicated one of his songs to his late brother.
According to Times Live, a close family friend had confirmed the death of Sandile but did not want to be named due to an investigation taking place by the police. Currently, the motive behind the shooting is not known.

In 2016, Citi Lytes won an award for song of the year at the SA Hip Hop Awards and would then go on to win an award for Best Hit Single in 2017. He was also known to work with Emtee, Fifi Cooper, and the like. This was during his time at Ambitious Entertainment which he had left several years ago.
