You want to feel better because you do not always know how to stay on top of all the developments on the internet and the continues development of new apps? Don’t stress too much, not even the big ball guys at Facebook and Instagram have figured it out yet. Both social media sites were knocked down for at least an hour worldwide after an alleged cyber attack.
Just love when Facebook crashes everyone immediately jumps onto #Twitter. Is #facebookdown trending yet? 🙂 pic.twitter.com/thI43SgTCF

The Guardian UK reports the online group Lizard Squad have claimed responsibility for the hack, which took the two social media sites down at around 6am GMT. Both sites, with around 1.5billion users, showed error messages in the United States, Europe and Asia – and this lasted at least an hour, to great dissatisfaction of users.
The Billy Big Balls of social media, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg – who also owns Instagram – refused to say what the fault was. Neither did he comment on claims that a snowstorm in the US knocked out his servers.
Those lonely souls in need of dating were also affected as dating mobile app Tinder as well as AOL Instant Messenger and Hipchat went limp with internet erectile disjunction.
While it was down Facebook said they were ‘aware’ of trouble accessing the site and added: ‘We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.’
An Instagram spokesman posted on Twitter: ‘We’re aware of an outage affecting Instagram and are working on a fix. Thank you for your patience.’
