Shona Ferguson, born Aaron Arthur Ferguson, has tragically died at the young age of 47. The news of his untimely demise sent shockwaves through South Africa and the international community.
Sunday World was the first to break the story – stating that the Rockville actor had died from complications after a heart operation. Their unnamed source said Ferguson had been on a ventilator fighting for his life before succumbing to his condition.
Channel 24 then reaffirmed news of his death from Conrad Mwanza, a representative from the Ferguson Foundation.
Mwanza said Ferguson passed on at midday from COVID-19 related complications. He also said the family are distraught and are requesting privacy to deal with the death of their beloved. No statement has been made available from the family yet.
Ferguson is survived by his wife Connie Ferguson – who he married in 2001 – and his daughter Alicia Angel Ferguson.
