Kobe Bryant has had a stellar career in basketball since pursuing it after high school. Many will remember him with a larger-than-life personality, making it easy for his fans to adore him.
In the tragic death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant, comes a lot of pain and suffering for their family. Kobe and his daughter had left behind his wife and a little sibling. Now, in order to celebrate their lives, a statue has been put at the plane crash site. The names of all the lives lost have been engraved on the base of the statue.

According to the sculptor, the statue will only be placed there temporarily. Dan Medina took it upon himself to honor the life of Kobe Bryant and his daughter by making this 160-pound statue. He says he hopes to build a permanent statue in the same spot with the city’s permission.

Since last February, the crash was eventually blamed on pilot error. The pilot at the time, known as Ara Zobayan was likely disoriented while flying in cloudy conditions. Families of the deceased have since taken out lawsuits which were eventually settled in 2021.
Now, January 26th, 2020 marks the death of the nine passengers on the plane. According to ESPN, all of them were on the way to a girls’ basketball game which Gianna was scheduled to play in. The 26th of January this year marks two years of their passing and many have taken to social media to honor and remember the life of Kobe Bryant.
Since entering his career in Basketball, Kobe Bryant has become an all-time star and is particularly well known. His daughter Gianna Bryant was set to follow in his footsteps by joining the girl’s basketball club.
